Ms. Samuel,
Thank you for contacting me regarding the bond status of this individual. Prior to becoming a administrator I held a number of public safety positions to include serving as a burglary and major crimes investigator. I understand your concerns. I have asked the Clerk to County Council to forward this email to the lead prosecutor with Solicitor's Office. I will ask them to review his bond conditions for these multiple offenses as well as have a victim's advocate contact you to brief you on the prosecution of these offenses.
I did not give him a name but from reading this he knows exactly who I'm talking about. Ok, if you know this person is menace to society why do they let him out? If you get caught stealing from somebody's store three times that's a felony and you're going to do felony time. Why should stealing from hard working families be less of a crime? As citizens we have to step up and do our part too. I'm not going to sit by and hear about this and not voice my concerns to our elected officials any longer. He don't go in their neighborhoods so they really don't know what's going on Call me a "RAT" if you want to. I'll claim it proudly. It's not about the things he takes, it's about not being able to sleep at night, knowing he's not coming back anytime soon but still scared because he was there in the first place. Scared because he kicked in your door and you have to figure out how you'll get it fixed. Scared to go to work thinking you're going to come home to all you drawers are pulled out and gone through. Mad as hell because it was all for nothing; you don't have anything worth taking. They've already got it from before.
Hartsville, Darlington County, South Carolina needs to do better.
I don't believe in right or wrong. I believe in what is FAIR.
Love it Nay, looking forward to reading more from you!
