We've all had those gut feelings about Intuition
& Relationships We've all had those gut feelings about something at one time
or another, or a strong hunch about something. But how does our intuition
affect our relationships? Here are some ways in which we see intuition at work,
or influencing our relationships:
Love at first
sight. People often say that they just knew their partner was the one, from the
moment they first met. This is our intuition speaking. For whatever reason we
can often read something about a person right off the bat. There may be an
instant connection or bond that sparks our intuition, letting us know that a
certain person is something special.
Bad feeling about
a friends partner. We've all met someone who just gives us a bad feeling, and
often we have this sense about someone our friend is dating. Our friend is
often too close to the relationship to see it, but from an outside perspective
we can see something different. It might not be something we can put our finger
on, but our intuition is at work, giving us a bad feeling about someone being
wrong for our friend.
Weird feeling on a
first date. For reasons that we cant always explain, we ca often tell on a
first date that someone isn't going to work out. Sometimes we get a bad or weird
vibe from someone and can just tell that they aren't going to be compatible with
us, even though we barely know them.
Sense of something
when first meeting someone. Sometimes when we meet someone for the first time
we have a strange hunch either that we
know well encounter them again in a significant way, or that we've met them
before. It might just be that they have familiar characteristics or remind us
of someone we know, but our intuition signals us that there is something
special or unusual about certain people.
Premonition of
betrayal. Sometimes we have a strange feeling where we don't trust someone, for
no specific reason. There may not be any just cause for not trusting them but
certain people give us a hunch that they cant be trusted or they might betray
us. Our intuition warns us not to trust these people and hopefully we are able
to listen and avoid getting hurt.
Feeling off about
someone. We know ourselves better than anyone and we often get the sensation
that we are off or just don't feel like ourselves with certain people. We may
not get a clear indication of why or what we are worried might happen with them
(getting betrayed, hurt, etc.), but we just intrinsically feel like we aren't
ourselves. These feelings should not be ignored, as our intuition is usually
trying to tell us something. Sometimes we don't find out what it was until much
later.
Knowing its not
right. We often end relationships because we just knew it wasn't right. We cant
put our finger on why or give the other person a concrete reason for breaking
up we just knew deep down that they were
wrong for us. This is our intuition at play, letting us know that someone isn't
right for us before we are able to see why for ourselves. Listening to this
intuition can save us a lot of time in relationships that are't going to work
out in the long run.
Seeing red flags.
Though we often ignore warning signs in people that we care about, there are
often a number of red flags raised about people that are dangerous or bad for
us in some way. Our intuition can give us a hunch about someone to alert us to
some of these warning signs and its up to us to decide if we want to pay
attention to them or not.hing at one time or another, or a strong hunch about
