Using Social Networking As Your Public Diary

While somewhat entertaining to see people ‘act a fool’ via social networking, it also creates a ‘girl you’re too old for that’ response. No one needs a play by play account of your day, find out about childhood secrets, or who you don’t like at the moment. Social networking has not only become a place to network but also a platform to be entertained. Still, remember that once you put it out there for the social world to see, you can’t take it back. Save your rants and raves for your close circle of friends and family.

This is an article off of one of the websites I like to visit daily. I like to write, everybody who knows me knows I like to write. When I write in my journal I write mostly about what’s going on in my nonexistent love life. The things I want/don’t want. I don’t share this part of my life with anyone. Maybe Tonyel and she don’t know everything. The other parts like the kids, family, topics I feel strongly about, etc; I will post on my blog. I really don’t think I’m giving out too much personal, private information. The post about Junior is the closest I’ve ever gotten to what I feel is too personal. Even that’s limited. I think the songs that I post tell a lot but people don’t really listen to the words therefore it’s just a song to them. To me, if it’s on my blog, it’s a feeling. Like with JayZ everybody talk about how private he is but if you listen to his music he shares a lot of his life. I use music to express things that are going on in my love life. That is still limited too because you may know the situation but you don’t know who I’m in the situation with. For the last several years my heart has belonged to one person. It’s so funny to hear gossip because people have most if it so wrong. I love the phrase, “you may think you know but you really have no idea”. Anyway my reason for this post is to justify my reason for having a blog. I love to write about my life. It maybe boring but it’s a habit. I think it’s excellent therapy too.
