Brokeness

I don’t know why I keep forgetting that these men don’t know what love is. You can’t give love if you’ve never known love. A lot of guys these days grow up without a father. So they don’t see their father showing their mother love. Sometimes the mother isn’t conscious enough to give the kid the love he needs because she so messed from being screwed over. She doesn’t love herself so she doesn’t give love either. We have to be aware of these broken men we allow into our lives. You have some men that don’t realize they’re broken. We women nurture by nature. We always want to fix him, change him and take care of him.  If he doesn’t think he’s broken, he doesn’t feel the need to be fixed therefore he will never change. On the other hand he can be aware he’s broken but if he’s not willing to do the work, he doesn’t want to be fixed. These men you got to let go because it’s not healthy for you. All you’re going to get is a world of hurt and disappointment. You can’t control anything within him. He won’t give you love unless he knows how to receive love. If I don't know anything else in life, I know what love is.
